The following are presentations I have given in the past and am willing to present to the target audiences.
Hypnosis: Mythology & Reality
Based on my experiences with and my long interest in the subject of hypnosis, I have come to one conclusion: most of what people know about the subject is wrong. This presentation not only shows the fallacies in the public knowledge of hypnosis but where they came from, then explains the actual facts about this subject.
Length: 2 hours, including question and answer session and possible demonstration
Audience: Adults, anyone interested in the paranormal, health professionals considering applying hypnosis in their career
Media: This is a Powerpoint presentation so a projector and projection screen are required
Japan: A Land of Shrines and Temples
When I vacationed in Japan in 2007, I was amazed at the profound depths of the religious life in that country. From a Westerner’s standpoint, the sight of two wholly separate faiths, one native, Shinto, and one imported, Buddhism, coexisting was amazing. My investigation and research soon became a presentation about this subject including a number of images taken during my vacation.
Length: 1 1⁄2 hours
Audience: Teenagers and above, anyone interested in Japanese culture or Japanese religions
Media: This is a Powerpoint presentation so a projector and projection screen are required
Taking Your Cosplay Photography to the Next Level
Cosplay is the practice of recreating costumes of various movie, television, comic book and game characters with the intent of presenting them at various conventions. Many of these costumes are of professional appearance if not professional quality, so any photographs of them should be of the same quality. Unfortunately, the average quality of most photographers is just that, average. This presentation is designed to instruct those photographers in better photographic and editing techniques to be able to produce better photographs and uses my photographs, sometimes before and after, to illustrate the principles I explain.
Length: 1 hour
Audience: Teenagers and above, anyone interested in photography
Media: This is a Powerpoint presentation so a projector and projection screen are required
Note: This presentation is designed to given at conventions but can be presented in other settings
